After reading tons about 100LL I have decided that I'd rather use race gas. I have a 2006 250, and I am a 205lbs "B" rider. By no means am I amazing, but I ride plenty hard enough to make the bike "ping".
I have read that YZ's are notorious for pinging/ detonation, and either need the head cut or a few more octane to avoid this.
So, this brings me to my dilemma. The only pump race gas near me is C12, 110 octane. The only pump Non-Ethanol gas near me is 87 octane.
If I mix the fuels 50/50, I come up with 98.5 octane. Is this accurate? And is there any issue with mixing race fuel with 87?

Mr-12 had by far the best results...but its pretty much liquid gold.
The mix of C12 And pump is fine. My kx ran fine on a 50/50 mix when it was bone stock. And actually ran pretty good on pump 91 with only very rare/ occasional pinging.
