Max Oil level WP CV fork?

Hi

I have been searching but cant find anything about oil level in the WP cone valve fork. Have seen different numbers from 340 to 400cc´s . Is 400 max what you should try before you goo up in springrate or can I do 420, 440 and the fork will still work top notch?

You have to decide what what you are trying to accomplish, oil volume stiffens the last 4" of the stroke and spring rate is overall stroke.

If your forks work well for you everywhere except bottom on the big hits you may be satisfied with increasing the oil volume. If you have other issues like riding low in the stroke, diving under braking and knifing/over steer in corners you may prefer a stiffer spring.

I don't know for a fact but I feel like I remember hearing 400cc is max. I gotta tell you that 5cc made a difference from me using every inch of travel to now have 1/2-1in unused...

Hi

I will order stiffer springs tomorrow but until I get them I ride with 420ml oil. Why I was asking was because I was afraid to blow anything inside the fork up or something if 420 is too much.
