Has anyone put a set of Spring kx or yz forks on a crf450? My psf2 forks aren't very good and it seems all the Honda spring forks go for a fortune on eBay. I was thinking they are all 48mm kyb forks, the kx comes with dlc lowers. I just measured a 15 yz125 and the upper clamp dimensions are about 2mm different than my crf. If the kx is a closer fit I would think I can swap lugs and then they should work fine...am I missing anything here?

no you can make them work, might take some milling on the clamps but it can be done.

the easiest way is to get a whole yamaha front end and make a steering pin fit in the clamps

From what i have found Kxf 450 07-16 share clamp. Crf 450 09-16 share clamp size. Yzf250/450 10+ share clamp size.

Thats from looking at the applied racing shop, and Thecnical Tuch sayin a yzf would fit my clamps.

I also think
the forks are over priced now. Can allmost get a roller for the price in my country now. For the price shipped here

why don't you take a set of kxf lowers and internals...completely dissamble your psf. and just use the outer tubes. with the kxf internals and lowers.

Try calling Allballs racing and tell them what front end your using and have them match up bearings and races to fit your Honda. I did that with a Vinco pitbike witch are no longer available and also a bbr pitbike that I used an rm85 front end on

I'm about to do the same thing to a CR250. Could you post pics?

So what size Honda rotor are you running? What year kawi brake hanger are you running? I know kawi changed the brake hanger in 15.

Yup, your right. 15 kawi 450 forks. Going to put these on my 07 CR250 project bike I'm starting. Gotta get the 15 kawi brake bracket.

spoke to a guy today witha 15 crf450, the newer yzf forks bolt right in the stock honda clamps, and you use the yamah front wheel.

sff air is shit..... big step the wrong way imo for fork design

MXtech makes an internal conversion kit but I think it's like a G.

So you can use the Honda Tripple clamp, hub, axle and calliper? Kawi forks and calliper bracket?
