Checking valve clearance today and everything seems tight. One question tho, do you insert the feeler gauge between the cam and the "finger" that holds the shim or the finger and the shim itself? It's an 08 250sxf. Computer is broke, so I can't upload a pic, but if you are familiar with ktm's you'll know what I'm talking about.

below the finger, on top of the shim. also check with what should be TDC. I dont have my manuals with me at this moment but i worked at a ktm dealership for 4 years and also went to the tech training for those motors including the 350. the cam lobes should be facing inward on those motors and you should be have your crank locked so you know your at TDC. should be a allen head with a 3 mm copper washer

I've only worked on a few KTMs but I love how they are put together and how easy they are to work on. That crank lock is a great idea.

You will know when your at TDC on the compression stroke when the marks on the cams face each other.
