Ktm sx250 2013 seems rich flatter out?? Help!

Hi guys, my KTM sx250 ran great at cold temps at the beginning of the year, but now when im flat out it seems to not take its gas, like if it was too rich. I have a bills pipe and vforce valves, but it came out Almost like this stock so jetting should be similar.. I was jetted 160, pis it down to 155, still did it. Tried 150, it's the same. The spark plug tip is perfect, but the threads have a bit of oil/gas on it

Well, as the temp increases, the bike gets richer and requires leaner jetting.

But 155-150 sounds ridiculously lean. I'd try a 162-165 just to see what the effect is. You may be mistaking lean for rich.

Well, it runs good at 10c but doesn't at 25c... And the ktm manual says 150 is perfect for hot temps

I'm in California, usually near sea level but I run a 172 main jet in most weather out here.

So the problem could be it would be lean? Because it does the same thing at 150 and 160

Correct, at minimum I would try a 168 but try up to a 175 or so if you'd like to experiment more.

Mine runs clean at 1000ft of elevation running a 170 main in 75F-85F temps with V-Force and Bills. Sounds like you may have a crank seal going bad.

Actually took the v forces out, and the carbon had holes in them at the top... Will change them tomorrow and see!

Cool, good call. I guess the design on the KTM is prone to cracking the reeds in one area, mine cracked on the corner with low hours. I have another Vforce 4 on mine that is supposed to put less tension in that area and so far hasn't cracked a reed yet.

Yeah, like these guys said, go up to at least 170 on the main.

If there's one tip I can give you it's to never ever ever ever ever ever EVER trust a KTM manual for it's jetting recommandations. As in never.
