Pretty much changed every bearing. Went with an irp triple grip clutch. Open to any questions. Or any ideas to add. Didn't come out to bad for a week and a half build.

Thanks guys. My little one started on power wheels and then to an xr50 with training wheels at 18 months. Funny watching a baby ride with a nunu in his mouth. Lol. With all the work that this thing requires, I'm ready for 65s a month in. I'm saving for a new set of wheels for it. The bearings were sloppy in the hub so I used some loctite stuff made to fill the gap. But I figured that would only be good for a quick fix. I'm sure there will be a lot of cursing and empty beer bottles in the near future. He's a throttle blipper and doesn't listen, because at 5 years old he knows everything lol. So I'll have my fair share of work on this little rocket.

That is a nice bike. I'll be honest at 5 on an sxs he's going to blip the throttle a lot. That is a lot of bike for a 5 year old. Not trying to take anything away from you at all. The junior sx or cobra Jr. is a little more tame than an sxs. Just be patient with the little guy. My kid was on ktms and Cobras we went the senior route at first after the pw. Soon found out we needed the jr with the smaller front wheel and lower chassis. Just a little wisdom as I've been down this route with my little guy. The clutch else so was def a good move. Biggest thing is learn the age groups and classes. At his age and that bike he will only beable to ride 4-8 open. Again not trying to take anything from your bike at all it is def a nice ride. Just be mindful it's very hard for the little guys to not blip it. Luckily you don't have the old style with the washer stacks and shoe clutches. They were a real pain to keep a clutch in.

I considered the smaller one but the budget said get it and be done. For $2300 including the clutch it was hard to pass. He is very tall for his age so he fits physically just not mentally. I knew it would also be an age group problem. Our local tracks are pretty lenient when it come to the little ones. As long as it's not an AMA event. He loves his pw but I could tell he was uncomfortable when the bars would hit his knees so I reached for something that he could grow with.

5 year old me (and 26 year old me) say "hell yeah". 26 year old me is also looking at pw50s and striders recently too.

How did you introduce the little one to the pw? was he/she off training wheels on the bicycle first?

He rode with training wheels on the bike for a little while. The day after he learned to ride his bicycle without training wheels, I took the ones off the dirt bike. Training wheels are a hard habit to break I wouldn't recommend them. He could straight line ride all day but turns he struggled. I would recommend a strider bike first.

Thanks guys. Tried to make a little factory 50 lol. It's pretty much done for now. I would like to get some grip tape for the frame eventually. And the Troy lee renthal pad if they made it for the mini bars.

Great job! Who made the custom graphics for you? Also what is the name of the orange color for the powder coat you used? This clamps look great too.
