Suzuki RM125 1985.

One kick start when cold, but almost impossible to get going when warm. And intermittent quick bogging when twisting the throttle fast.

Fresh topend 3-4 hrs, have had problems with water consumption, but seems to be solved with proper torquing down the head and cylinder.

Been running solid before I had to retorque head, always easy starting and steady idle.
I've cleaned the carburettor, switched plugs. Tried retarding ignition a bit.

I'm unsure of whether the compression is sufficient, though it feels decent.

What to do?

Between the hard starting when warm, I assume you use the choke for the initial start up, and the bike bogging when you quickly twist the throttle. This would lead me to believe that you have a problem with the pilot circuit being lean. Start out by turning the air screw in, if this make the bike not bog and or run a little better, you are going to need the next size larger pilot jet at a minimum.

Do a compression test. If you were using coolant, you probably ingested some and it scarred the cylinder/piston.

84-86 RM 125's were notorious for scorching top ends in a very short amount of run time.
