Anyone have any good examples of graphic kit that looks good with the white YZ models with the stock black/red seat? Wouldn't mind something retro looking, but only think I've seen is the retro JGR white/red and my opinion is it looks terrible. This is for the '14-16 plastics.

I have been struggling with this for a long time. I still havent bought any plastics or numbers because of me being indecisive about making them match.

Yeah, lot of examples of the blue models, closest I can find is the Decal Works site, you can change the colors but the "model" still has the blue plastic/seat underneath so kinda hard to visualize how it will look

You guys need to talk to Chad at Aktivmxgraphics.com !

He has awesome designs/ quality, and you have the ability to pick whatever colors you want. Why buy team graphixs when you can create your own?

Mine with white Cycra plastic and graphics from an '89 YZ250.

The color is a good match for the seat cover. Most custom graphics companies could do something similar. Unfortunately, the stripes on the number plates are a lighter/brighter "CR" red that don't match well.

Dirt Digits did this for me. I especially like the metallic effect.

I like the number plate designs. I scored a set of plastic off a '14 off ebay so wanted to get something to cover the radiator shrouds. I've always kept stock looking bikes in the past, but thought I would maybe try a full set. Might just stick to backgrounds...

I just bought replacement decals for an '89 from yzdecals.com. They are just the yz logo. I didn't put anything over top, so they have been shredded since this picture. I plan to redo them using a clear coat or clear sheet of vinyl to hopefully get them to last longer. I talked to k-raegraphics.com about doing some full shroud decals with just the logo and he said he could do it for a pretty good price.

I like it. Send both those pictures to a custom decal shop and they should be able to do it. I would try the company I listed earlier as he seemed willing to do something like this without extra design work fees.

This is what underground Mx did for me last year, you could change the colors to go with your seat. I think he did a great job getting my company logo and everything else he did.

Mutley531 & yak651 - IMO an all red seat would help seal the deal on retro look - the black OEM top of seat looks iffy.

Motoseat makes red seat covers (also for the gas cap cover/seat).

I've considered a Motoseat, however the red they have is CR Red, which would be too bright for me. Kind of hard to see in the picture I posted, but the number plate outlines are CR Red and they do not match the decals well (or stock seat and shock spring). The stock seat color is a darker red. If I ever go for a full graphic kit I may do the Motoseat and get the reds in the YZ logo to match.

I have the '14 yz450 myself. THIS is exactly what I was thinking of doing! Nice taste. Looks good!

I went a little bit "untraditional" with mine.
But its white, red and black all over.
