Frozen up PWK slide-cable bolt

He's talking about the 6mm head thing that the throttle cable goes into and it's threaded into the slide and it holds the needle in place. Everyone seems to over tighten it and then they can't get it out without breaking it.

If the nipple is in fact frozen in place , it will take replacing the slide and the nipple to fix. That will cost more than a replacement carb in most cases ( like about $300), unless you can find a good used one.

I keep a few of those little nuggets in my carb parts/jet kit because I've replaced a number of them over the yrs on bikes that I've worked on. You don't need to crank that sucker down. I've done exactly what the other Digger said with tapping a smaller socket on it. I've always gotten them out one or another and never had to buy a slide.

Soak it over and over. It's the absolute best penetrating oil I have never seen.
