Fork lugs are threaded on the bottom of the tubes correct?

If so you would think if you have a 48mm tube, the thread pitch would be the same (metric) from brand to brand?

Any info on this?

I have not seen any fork lugs threaded onto the tubes. I have seen several legs come apart over the years due to other damage and have not seen any threads.

Some are threaded, the difference in pitch I'm not sure. Some have a little set screw at the bottom. The three I have had apart, needed warmed up a little with a torch to get apart.

If the manufacturer of the forks is the same, you're likely correct. Also I haven't seen a fork lug that wasn't threaded

I'm thinking of doing a KYB SSS fork swap on my 13 KTM 250sx. The only thing that diverts me is people using a nissin/yamaha brake set up. The fork tubes are 48mm, whats the chance the lugs swap out??

If the brembo caliper won't bolt to the yamaha fork lug go to a machine shop and have the bracket that holds the caliper to the lug custom made. But also watch for axle sizing and spacing

Call Ross at Enzo and talk to him about options. A while back, he was working on. WP to SSS conversion I think.

Also look into what Jimmy albertson was doing. I think they were taking Showa(??) internals and putting them into the WP tubes, I heard it's actually a pretty common swap.
