I've been thinking about getting the kashima coating on my forks and found that Enzo racing offer that service. I've emailed them a couple of times over the past 4 weeks but haven't had a reply, i'm just wondering if anyone knows the guys there or has another email address other than the one on their website (info@enzoracing.com). I'm in Australia so email is always preferable with time differences etc. p.s. not bagging Enzo Racing at all, just hoping to get a contact so i can do business with them. Thanks

You may check with Race Tech. I remember reading that they had an alternative coating that was much more economical. Let us know what you find out. Also, RG3 offers kashima last I had heard.

I was talking to Craig Decker at Enzo this morning about hard anodizing a '82 RM250 shock body. He told me they don't hard anodize, but it could be Kashima coated. The downside is it has to go to Japan for the coating and it would be $500.

Hey CamP, would you have a direct email for Craig? Thanks

why not go direct to the Kashima factory? All Enzo is doing is boxing your stuff then sending it to Japan.

Not trying to knock Enzo at all, they are awesome. But for this service and stuff like DLC, none of these guys actually do the coating in house, so they are a middle man taking a cut of the $$$.

I contacted them directly. You need 10 products in order for them to deal with you? I imagine its easier for the guys like Enzo to round up 10 sets than for a regular Joe. I was bummed to find that out but now it makes it seem pretty reasonable to get forks done for $500 considering they go to Japan and back!

I think some people want their suspension serviced by Enzo while its there, IMO.

^ i agree. but for him since he's in Australia, the best way not to get bent over on shipping charges would be to send to Kashima Factory first, then get them to ship it to Enzo, then from Enzo back to AU. prob save couple hundred in shipping alone.

honestly with the combined shipping cost and coating cost + rebuild and revalve/respring cost. you wouldnt be to far off the used price of some AKit stuff. Thats what i did.

Good point, I am a little bit hesitant bout buying used stuff, unless I know the person. I would love to have a A kit, not fast enough but love trick stuff, u have any pics of your bike with the kit on it?, how you like it?

PC actually sells their team bike/practice bike stuff at the end of every year. they go thru and respring/revalve for you shipped for 4500$. thats actually NOT a bad price for what youre getting. if you factor some people spend 1-1200 on getting their stuff set up, and how much A kit stuff cost new its a pretty decent deal.
Here's my stuff, its off of a team bike from 06/07, no lug serials, got some gently used Akit upper tubes from RG3 cause the stockers were chipping. Its not even on the bike yet. its going on my 500AF:
