I hated the 51's that came on my 13 250SX but was pretty curious about the 52's that came on my 15 250SX and I've run them 16 moto's and 2 practices and I have to say that I'm very impressed with them performance and wear-wise. I would definitely consider them a very good to great intermediate/hard pack tire. I put a new set of 32's on for our race at Central Village CT this weekend and I was very impressed with how well they worked on what it is pretty much a soft dirt track with a few hard pack sections. My bike was hooking and hauling :-)

32s are better. Even on hardpack...the 32s are better. On hard pack, however, they are dependent on the sharp edges...so if you use 32s on the hard....they will lose performance pretty fast. If money were no object...use 32s and change tires often. If not...use 32s for most applications...and save the 52s for the truly hard packed dry blue groove tracks. Dunlop has definitely stepped up their tire lineup with the 32s and 52s.

Im running 52s in front and back. I should put a 32 on the front and switch from 32s to 52s on the rear. Started2late are you running 32s in the front?

I am using 32 front and rear for most track riding. But on a true blue groove hard dry track...I would go with the 52. The 32 is good when brand new...but on hard hard ground...it loses grip as the edges get rounded. So....my comment that the 32 is 'better even on hardpack' comes at a cost. Short tire life on hardpack as you are technically misapplying the tire. The 32 life in soft to int is good. That is what the tire was made for.

The 32 pattern was used by many teams on hardpacked SX tracks in 2014...even though it was a soft to intermediate pattern. The trade off was after 20 laps...the tires were toast. Sometimes...they were toast by lap 12...
