I have been running an FMF fatty/powercore 2 combo on my 2013 KTM SX 250 for about 3 years now. I'm on the verge of buying a brand new SX250 and obviously would like to keep the exhaust system to save some money.

This may seem like a dumb question, but other than repacking the silencer, is there anything else about an exhaust pipe or silencer that can "wear out"? Would I be perfectly fine keeping my 3 year old setup or should I invest in a new system to go with my brand new bike?

Just give it a visual check for cracks bro, my father in-law's 2002 YZ250 has had its Pro circuit system since it was new, still going hard...

Just repack it and rip it! Inspect the pipe/header for any cracks, other than that, You will be all good!

Only other concern is carbon buildup in the pipe. If you've kept it jetted cleanly it shouldn't be a big concern.
