Above is a link to a video of the bike running. As you can see it is back firing and bogging intensely. After about 30 starts it will be able to run fine and be rideable, but a majority of the time is does this. I cannot figure out why. Bike has roughly 50 hours on it. I have had many people give me different solutions but would just like to narrow it down before I spend a ton of money on parts that might be unnecessary. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Do you have a friend with the same bike? Did this problem start after you washed the bike?

Try swapping:
Fuel tank
Ecu

Clean All wiring connection and use electric grease
change spark plug
Disconnect kill switch
Is there a fuel filter?
Anything stuck in the airbox like a rag?

There is a 5 page thread on this. Throttle Position Sensor. Yamaha redesigned it mid year and the new one is on the 16's which never have this issue. Swap out your TPS and go ride

saw same thing on one of our friends 16 at the track.

pull all the electrical connections on the bike, dielectric grease the crap out of them, assemble it will go away.

In other words it would be smart to use dielectric grease on all wire fittings and replace your tps. Be smart, do both and you will be good to go

Im not having any issues at the moment. Just looking. For a clear explination on how to if and when. I see guys do 2 things. Check the voltage, and check the angle. Was hoping someone would give a breakdown.

Hi, I had same issue as the video, bog during low to mid RPM, no backfire.
Had the problem after i wash the bike with pressure washer.
I tried warm up the engine and go for a short ride around neighbour area, the engine runs like normal, from from 0% throttle to Half, no bogs issue.

Searching and study through internet and found out it could be a Throttle Position Sensor or Intake Air Pressure Sensor.

Just worry it might be the sensor issue started, not sure when it will die, hopefully not during track on high speed.
