Was just wondering what's the Reed of choice for the YZ-250?I've always run the V-Force 3 on most of my 2 Strokes over the years but would like some input on this new bike....

Nobody is running a V-Force 3 or Rad valve on these bikes? Interesting....

I have run the VForce 3, Boyesen and stock. For me, the stock was fine. I did like the Boyesen, without the reed spacer. But you can try the stock without the spacer too. I'd say save your $$. When the stock reeds wear out, then revisit this, since replacement reeds are $60-ish and you can get either of these products for not much more.

I had a friend give me a V-Force for my YZ, so I'm not going to try to justify a purchase by saying that something is better if it's not. Also, I'm not a rev ranger type rider. I ride in the mid range mostly and shift rather than rev. For me, the V Force made it much easier to pull a taller gear so I love it. I won't be giving it back any time soon!

Yea i felt like the v force helped a little bit. Although, I installed mine almost 5 years ago now so its hard to really say. Ive put new pedals in that thing 3 times now.

Just to piggyback on the original question, has anyone removed the OEM reed spacer and if so what was the result?
