2013 KX450f ECU Removal?

Hey guys as the title states I need to remove my ECU because I am sending it to Tokyo Mods to get remapped. The problem is is that I do not know how to take it off or even where it is located. I have tried searching for instructions on how to do this but I have not found anything. I even tried to call Kawi on instructions but the only response I get is "bring it to your motorcycle dealer and have them do it". I'm sure I could tinker with it and figure it out but I don't want to take that gamble. Any input in greatly appreciated.

It is mounted behind the number plate. It slides into a rubber holder and just unplugs from the wiring harness.

x2, on that.. sent my ecu to tokyo mods also. 2012 kawy ,450. awesome service and good mod.Justin was very helpful.

When you sent it in did you only send in your ECU or did you have to send the wiring harness also?

just the box, and the form . and when you put plug it in maybe some water proof electrical grease on it. honda dielectrical.grease.

Thank you! I'll give them a call on monday! I appreciate the help. Was there a noticeable difference when you got your remapped box back compared to the stock map?

hard to tell. i use renegade race fuel, full fmf 4.1 rct, megabomb, screenless air cage, and mot tassanari..air boot. bike rips, any questions before monday gimme a call 301-801-1987 billy, def worth the money to have ecu done. vortex ignition is a great mod but more $$.and with the remap, keep it on the green coupler

I have been wanting to et my bone stock 13 kx250f. I run vp u4.4 and planed to remove air filter screen. Prob stick w stock pipe for awhile. I am not really unhappy with current mapping but figured if it can be improved, why not. Any suggestions for me?

Thank you Mxb2 I appreciate the input! And jhansen510 I also run u4.4 in my bike but I have a pro circuit Ti-5. I'm getting the bike remapped for the fuel and the exhaust. It seems to run a little lean so that why Im getting it mapped.

yea same as my 450, , dont think they make a moto tassanari air boot for ,12-15 kawy 250. 11 model they do, only 1 injector, others have dual. , a cam really will help these efi bikes.
