Well.....the journey has come to an end.....finally :-)! Please see below for all the "final product" pictures (tried to channel my 2 semesters worth of digital photography from about 7 years ago). I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and now am ready to ride this thing! Thanks for all the comments along the way...they are all much appreciated! Also, thanks to ALL companies that were involved.

A lot of people remove them especially on honda's as you are more like to break the case with one on. Look at the Geico Honda 250f's...they remove the and grind down the lower thread area.

Comes down to one persons choice. I'd stick with the case saver, but of course that's just my choice based on saved cases I've experienced.

Where did you find all the carbon fiber: pv, clutch, & ignition cover? Beautiful bike.... lets hear it scream! Is there a YouTube?

Man...that thing is sick...

One question...for cleaning all those parts...you used truck acid wash and sand blasting right?

Thanks guys for the compliments. Carbon pieces came from a company in Italy I believe, I'll look and let ya know. For cleaning, I used plenty of elbow grease, a mini right angle die grinder, a sand blast cabinet, and an acid wash I believe was called "Navy Acid Wash".

Below is a quick video off my phone...not the greatest. I'll take better this fall once I'm able to ride it :-)

I was just too scared to start it the proper way I suppose :-). I just had it flooded and simply didn't kit it enough times with WOT....it now starts pretty quickly and as seen in the vid, it sits and idles like a champ (thanks Lectron).

They made it bike of the day, but your bike is really the bike of the year. That thing is just phenomenal. I hope it's as fan to ride as it was to build.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

This thread changed my life. Where can I get a used Pro Circuit A-kit like that!? Or did you already have it?

Thanks for creating this bike and sharing it with the rest of us.

What did you have to use for a throttle cable? I've got a 38mm Lectron that worked fine with the stock cable on my Husky, would like to try it on my 02 CR250. I love how well it works on my other bike.

I ended up ordering a "custom" cable through Motion Pro...ended up working/fitting perfect and really wasn't that expensive, I think maybe $35.

As far as the Lectron is concerned, I have yet to ride it on a track so I'm not too sure...BUT in the garage though and in the backyard, it seems to be REALLY good! It starts right up and is as crisp of a sounds 2-stroke as I have ever heard. I attempted to ride this past weekend but it got rained out, will attempt again this weekend :-)

If it works as well as mine you'll never want to go back to a regular carb.

So this custom cable, is it a certain length longer than stock? What's custom about it?

Awesome...I pleased to hear it :-).

Custom because 1) the stock Honda cable was about 1" too short 2) I didn't want to use the 90 degree bend cable (had the 90 degree metal bend at the carb) that they had in-stock for this application and 3) I was using a MP throttle housing which is a different thread than a Honda OEM housing.

Such an awesome bike Blake. Cannot wait to hear your thoughts on how that new carb is on the track! Definitely going to use this build as inspiration for my 04 that I will start tearing down tomorrow!

Just wanted to let anyone know that might be interested, I will have a very limited number of stands available for sale and ready to ship by early next week. It looks like the stands are still likely 2-3 weeks out from being "IN-STOCK" at Parts Unlimited. If interested in purchasing one, please e-mail me at layoverstand@yahoo.com . Retail on these is $66.95 (plus tax obviously through a PU dealer), I will be selling these first few for $60 and that includes FREE shipping. E-mail me to get Paypal information. Looks like I will have stands hopefully by the weekend and hope to ship first of next week. First come, first served.

Thanks!

Ride report coming soon....finally got to ride this past weekend :-)!
