It'll look good with that scheme on the red frame. Blue seat cover?

It's not my build but man I think a solid blue seat with Honda in white would really throw that retro look to it.

I e tried the different color seat covers. They clash. You have a lot of red to with the frame and graphics. Don't take it the wrong just an observation.

Yea I haven't ordered the seat cover, I can always change it to blue. I hadn't actually thought to use a solid blue, but makes sense as there's a lot of red....

Looks cool. The blue seems much brighter than what's on your graphics tho?

It's just the editing used for the graphics...
Anyways a perfect colour match can be hard at the best of times. It's not like the entire graphic is blue so even if it's off slightly I won't worry about it Smile

Started on the bottom end tonight, I was annoyed about the P-X gasket kit-it didn't have the main seals!?!?!?!? Anyways... Did what I could and now have the trans and crank in....

So shiny lol

Warming the bearing inners for easy crank installation.

Crank in, gaskets in, ready for the other case half and so it continues...

Polish the crap out of your shock body before you anodize it and it will turn out like this

That's got to be Kashima! :lol
For those asking, I know Kashima might be out of question, but I now get parts done in Kashina and its only a bit more than plain hard anodise...for the extra money, get the better coating and awesome look Smile IMO...

Ok... Some updates to keep this thead alive.... Woohoo

I finished off the bottom end and PV...the cylinder is temporarily installed without the piston to keep the dirt out. I'll finish the topend this week ( I got bored of engine stuff lol )
The PV isn't installed in these pictures but I got tired of taking pictures while working haha

Honda has had sealing issues in the past with the airbox/carb boot... Twin air seal kit looks awesome and fixes that!

Not sure but the CF sticker I made looks alright...

The next few pictures are just a few randoms of the bike ATM on the stand....

The wheels and suspension are out getting tires and I'm going with Gold valves front/rear plus SKF internals and a few other trick bits in the suspension department-it's basically enough goodies in the forks/shock to be my own "A-Kit"
I also have the privilege of working on my own suspension! I know the shop owner/mechanic quite well and he is letting me put everything together under his supervision ( after hours )....
We just goofed around after ordering parts on Saturday and held up the forks against the wheels....there's a LOT of gold stuff... It's OTT but perfect for the overall theme Smile

A few randoms, it's nice to have space to work in!

The graphics and seat cover are enroute via post and should be here soon!!
I am so excited as the bike is really coming together....

Now I know what you're thinking... This thing is OTT but hey, it's a throw back to the 'golden era' of Hondas so fits in nicely!! Smile

Bike looks good. Have you ran the air striker on this bike before the rebuild? I have one on my cr250 but never had a problem with the mikuni on my cr125. Is there a performance gain?

What made you chose the VForce over the Rad Valve? I have the same bike and considering either of the two. Bike looks really good by the way.
