2002 Yz 125 Rebuild Questions/Frustrations

Hey Guys as the title states I am rebuilding my Yz 125

I bought what I was told was a 2002 Cylinder but when I tried to install my power valves they would not slide in, they were to large

Original Blown Up Cylinder


"New" Cylinder


Here are the cylinders side by side to compare the casting numbers this is straight up frustrating can anyone tell me what year the new cylinder is?

The new cylinder being on top

5ET comes up as a '99 on the parts diagrams

yep.
Whats wrong with your 02' cylinder? If it just needs replated, Powerseal will do it for a little over $200.

Thats what I would do and either try to get a refund for that 99' cylinder, or re-sell it on evil-bay.

It is just the bare cylinder (no power valves or anything)
