Basically I have a new 15 KTM 250 sx (2 stroke) and moving from a 14 crf250 to this has been a very happy move. But i am a very light rider who can't muscle around bikes as much as the guys I'm riding against, does anyone have any experience with aftermarket steering stabilisers? Are they worth the money? I only get a little front end nervous on fast straights..

I had a bad wobble that i couldnt get rid of on a 350sxf. I used a Scotts dampener and it worked great. I put it on a 12 250sx and felt great on that as well. If you cant get rid of the head shake trying every other method, then these are well worth it in my opinion.
I bought the model: Damper Kit Sub Mt KTM 08-11 250-530 billet from Jeff Slavens Racing. Easy to fit, fully adjustable and after a year trying everything to get rid of some head shake, it was cured with this.

Have you tried just tightening your steering stem nut? It's basically free steering dampening and it's the first thing I do when buying a bike. Makes a HUGE difference.

Yeah I have tried tightening the head bolt and it's worked ok before on heavier four strokes but the two strokes just a little too light on its feet, so I think it's time to try the steering damper and that one from Scott's seems to be the one to spend the money on.

I have some friends that use the Honda setup on a KTM and like it. I know they had it revalved by Factory Connection because it wasn't stiff enough. FC made it very progressive which felt pretty good.

Ride Eng has an adaptor:

On my KTM 250 11 i never felt like i needed a steering damper. it tracks very straight. Until i went too soft on the settings. I am a light rider too . I slided the clamps down 1 line to get some front end grip
