I had a similar problem with the same bolt on my 06 YZ 450, but it also happened on my 05 CRF 450. You just have to be really careful. The companies are trying to make everything as light a possible and unfortunately some things are being compromised that shouldn't be....like drain bolts. As for your dealer.....find a new one. I work at a shop and the way they treated you wouldn't fly with us.

yep im super careful with the bolts now and ive made it clear with the dealer that im no longer doing business with them. Not the first time they screwed me though. When i had a quad I bought a set of tires from them and had them put them on. Then they charged me $50 to put them on

Once you break the beads on the old tires, ATV tire's practically fall on/off the rims. And most competiton machines are sold AS IS, no warranty. Shops don't keep the doors open to work on bikes for free. And in your case, YOU broke the bolt. If you are just beginning to do your own work on your own bikes, this will not be your last wrenching misfortune. You just bought some experience, son.

yea ive been learning alot from the mistakes ive made with my rm rebuild but ive still got alot to learn i just wish people were more willing to help me out stuff like this makes me not want to do my own work anymore but i really have no choice since it cost so much to have the dealer work on things

the machine they had to purchase to make it go that fast is NOT cheap. which is why tire changing prices are what they are.
