I'm looking for a little help... so thank you in advance. What are the differences in the 89-92 RM 250's ? I know that they share the same frame/plastics etc. Reason being I am in the process of buying a 92 for a resto and will be giving it the 89 look. I just cant find much info out on them. thanks!

Lol, I know nothing about suzuki's. The Cooper bike is the only zuki I own. However, i do know that the major difference between those years is the powervalve and waterpump. There are some other small differences like fork guards, chain adjuster blocks, etc.... Pete24 will be of much more help, I'll give him a heads up about your question.

Thanks man. That's all that I am aware of as well. In the mean time I will live vicariously through you on your cooper resto. Haha! such a rad bike.

They are certainly close enough to do a 89 look with a 92 bike. From what I understand, if your gonna ride it that's the way to go as the 89's were pretty bad.

im pretty sure the 89-90 had kyb and the 91-92 had showa, 89-91 had a smaller cdi processor like 16 bit compared to 32 bit, whatever that means, also the transmission was made out of bubble gum from 86-90, 91 92 they got better and i think if you by parts the numbers are all updated to the better stuff, and yes back in the day all they way till the present suzuki couldnt and still cant build a clutch, all in all try to build your bike out of a 92 and just put 89 grafix on it from K-Rae graffics. com.

let me say here that i love old suzukis i rode them forever my brightest moment in mx was ridding a 91 rm 125 in the support class at the Unadilla gp in 92, that being said they are really shitty bikes quality wise they are terrible, frames brake, clutches last maybe two motos, footpegs droop in a month, and if i ever rode someones Honda in those days ida prolly blown my brains out, here is a couple piks of my sweethearts, and im building an Ezra Lusk replica this winter ill throw up some piks of that thing when it starts to happen

to me my Suzukis are like that white trash road whore you hooked up with and could never quite let go, just kept going back

Haha! That's some good shit Pete. And some beautiful bikes you've got there. I for one always rode Suzuki and Kawi mainly because I couldn't stand the pricks I rode with that rode Hondas. :-) I just picked up a 92 tonight so now Its time to hit up ebay and strip the girl down. Thanks for the info guys and I will hit up K-Rae graffics. com for the finishing touches.

You are telling me the 87-89 CR 125 upper power valve spring #19328-ks6-700 can be replaced with a Suzuki part, what year quad racer?

You'll have to bend the ends on the spring but it will indeed work. I'm sure being a Suzuki part it will fail mid moto though. Lol

Thanks man ! Im a little nervous though because doesn't it seem like its a baby blue versus the navy blue like the 89 or 90 team bikes? .... its cheap enough I think its worth the risk though...

Lol, I just looked at again and noticed another one had sold, my first thought was "up, Pete bought one" Lol. Yeah for that price it is certainly worth the risk. I have one of the blue ones that I got from Coop, it has tire marks down one side of it. Love to know who's tire provided the marks. Lol. I'll post a pic of my seats and covers later tonight.

Hey man... I need your opinion. I just bought a 92 rm in fairly good condition but the guy I bought it from put a 93 rm carb on it that is a keihin versus the stock mikuni .. Luckily he held on to the mikuni as well. Have you heard or had experience with this? Would you leave the Keihin on it?
