Vet MX Races?

If you do vintage too the movmx.com series has a plus 50 class. They do races all over Missouri. Kahoka is probably the best track on the schedule.

The New England Sports Committee begins it's 58th (?) season on April 5th at fabled Southwick Motocross.

The vet classes are stacked, well represented and diverse. A, B, and C classes for 40+ and a 45+ and 50+ class.

Freestone is putting on a 6 round Vet Series in North Texas. Click on the link below for more info. Here are the 6 rounds.

Round 1 – March 21 – Swan MX Raceway Park

Round 2 – May 2 – Village Creek MX Park

Round 3 – June 20 – Underground MX Park

Round 4 – July 18 – Johnsonville MX Farm

Round 5 – September 12 – Oakhill Raceway

Round 6 – October 31 – Freestone Raceway

I remeber around 1981 Englishtown started the Vet class. It was for the old guys of the sport. You had to be at least 30 to run it.. At best there were 5 guys on the line and it was easy to confuse the time they were on the track for intermission. Now I find myself referring to some 30 year olds I work with as kids

I know about the big ones like the Vet National, Racer-X Senior Series, High Point and the one in FL in March.

And of course I know that the various vintage mx groups are heavily vet-focused. I race enough vintage as well.

Anybody know of any others? Or tracks that offer a lot of Vet Classes? And by Vet I mean more than just the usual +40 class (hell, I'd love to be 40 again!).

Doesn't matter what part of the USA. Got some freedom to travel this summer and plannig a long road trip with bikes in tow.

Try www.acrmx.com it's a vintage racing club but they have modern classes also, best bang for the buck here in the northeast, no club to join, 30 bucks gets you two 15 minute practice sessions and two motos, lots of fun laid back and lots of track time and they finish up pretty early

Agreed - I race weekly at REM. Great group of people and Frank and Myra pour their hear and soul into the sport. A lot of old Pro's and top level riders racing in the 50 Elite, Expert and Intermediate classes. Plus you'll see today's current pro's racing their and a lot of industry movers and shakers. Dean Wilson (and a host of others) have been known to show up to put in moto time. Even Mitch Payton and Troy Lee sends their kids to race REM. The track is pure moto with big up hills and down hills, no death defying jumps and it's rough... it's Glen Helen. Practice starts at 0900 and your out usually around 2 -230.

I highly recommend it... it's pure fun. For me personally, I'm racing against my friends I've been racing with since we were 15. Were in the 50 Int. class and were just as competitive as our youth, but instead of yelling at each other after the moto, we laugh at each other saying what a great race. Once a racer... always a racer.
