Are there significant differences between these two bikes? Or is the TS mostly a detuned version of the TM? Are the frames, forks and such much different? Will engine parts etc interchange? I am about to buy a relatively nice TS for a song, and I'm planning either to convert it to either a deadly street tracker or else mount this engine in a CB360 frame and make a cafe racer out of it. I had a TM400 in '71 when I was 17 and weighed about 140 pounds. I don't know what my dad was thinking, we already had a 250 CZ and a Penton Six-Days. That Suzuki had a brute of an engine but hardly suitable for motocross... That bike would spit off a scrawny teenager in an instant. Big-bore two-strokes rule!

Thanks to all you experts here in advance. This forum is the best.

I don't think it matters much with what your doing.
Think about getting that thing street legal before you do anything.
Every State is different.
I've been told over and over again without the pipe, the TM's are pretty much,
well, not worth alot.

I passed on a clapped TS400 together with a TM rolling chassis for 150 bucks
about a year ago because no titles.
