So last night I went to look at a street legal supermoto Monster Energy 1995 KX500.

It was on craigslist for a long time at $4500, and then $4000, and then the other day was listed for $3500. Now things were starting to get attractive! I called him and over the phone he said he would take $2900. I drove up there with the trailer, and checked it out. I ended up buying it, so now I own 3 KX500's and 2 1989 KX250s. I think I am stuck in 1989... Smile

I can't wait to ride this thing, but what was cool, was that this ended up being in the deal too:

I know it is a Honda QA-50, but can anyone tell me what year it is? 1970? What is this worth? It starts on the first kick, and I had fun riding it around the driveway last night around midnight. The guy has the fenders and will be getting them to me.

The minibike is sweet. The 5 hunny...needs a do over!Laughing Good stuff on both of them though, a 500 supermoto will have to be a blast.

Dan at re-mx.com will probably have some parts for you on the mini

I can't believe someone saw that headlight and thought it would look good on their bike.

What are the little canisters hanging off the lower triple clamp? Looks like a 4 pack of 5 Hour Energy drinks!

That was one of my first questions. They are used to hold premeasured pre-mix oil.

The pictures I posted don't do the KX500 justice. I took off the heat wrap on the exhaust pipe, washed it, and it looks a lot better.

Nice pickup. The heat wrap was probably to keep the noise down. Alot of 2 stroke noise is generated from the pipe. The wrap and a guard can really get them quiet.

Very cool bike, both of them. I think my drivers license would be in serious jeopardy if I was on the street on that. I, also am not a fan of black plastic on bikes, some fresh green would look good.

Congratulations !! I always loved the way the 89 kx 250 looked. I wanted 1 so bad. Ended up getting a new 90 kx250. Loved the motor but couldn't get it to handle like I wanted..
Good luck with it...
