- Took a beat, dented, tired old looking Pro Circuit Works pipe and after a refinishing process, here is the result.

- Also, in a similar condition, took a Pro Circuit Platinum pipe, sand blasted and refinished in Works.

So, just media blasting, or was there more to the process? I'd like to clean up my works pipe too... don't have a media blaster though...

Looks great bud. I'm also interested in what you did exactly. I've got a tarnished works pc pipe that I want to refinish for my kx250.

AceofSpades, CR250forlife and 731chopper,

1.) I sandblasted the Platinum pipe myself and also wet sanded both pipes;

2.) The next part is the proprietary sauce and I wish I could say I did all it myself --- Pacific Crest Pipe Repair.

3.) Pacific Crest Pipe Repair in Oregon pulled all the dents, cleaned the pipe and completed the "Works" finish you see in both pictures. Turned out great in my opinion.

4.) Connect with Scott at PCPR and tell him you are looking to get the Works finish done to your pipe. Only downside is shipping costs to/from that makes the process relatively costly.

Hope that helps

Hey man, reference my points above.

They don't charge much to do it, however, as I noted the shipping cost to/from is what makes it costly.

Looks good. There was a thread on this forum about someone who did this on a rusty pipe. The finished results looked even better, like off the shelf new. Tons of work though. I understand that re-blueing the seams is an art in itself, not a simple process.
I think for sandblasting off the platinum/chrome finish you need an abrasive media, and a lot of sanding to make smooth again.
