I can tell you how I didn't have luck with was a guy on Ebay, oldschoolrev, sounded worth a shot but when they arrived for my 86 Honda the numbers were gray instead of black and very generic looking. He offered to reprint a set but I can't imagine that would help much... Think I'll go real old school and cut my own by hand and buy numbers!

I have been using Throttle Jockey for 25 years....great quality 20mil vinyl, super sticky, and just great guys to work with. They have a lot of old school fonts and vintage background templates.

Can't get much more old school than this, and the number combinations are endless.

Nice bike! Hoping mine will look half as good when I'm finished... I emailed TJ but no response. Glad to see they can do them so maybe next time I'm in Kokomo I'll drop by in person.

Thank you Rocky739! Do you have a '86 CR250? If so, good luck on your build, as I am sure you will make it right! FYI- TJ has templates for '84-'87' CR's, and you of course could also try calling them on their 800 number. Post some pics of your scooter when you get it done!

Here's the link to my thread. Been a little quiet lately as I've been buying parts... so not much to talk about.
May have it done for May 30 at Walbash.

I apologize to the OP for the hijack of the post. And yes we have also used throttle jockey for years. Good guys and still supplying team Honda !

That's the plan! I'm friends with Bob Bean and he kinda inspired me to do a Honda after looking at his and seeing all the fun he's having at vintage MX.

Awesome Rocky739! Glad to hear you are joining the fun, as I did my first vintage races last year and had a blast! It would be great to meet you at Wabash (and/or possibly some other Midwest Races) and check out that '86 CR250! Bob Bean and vmx3 are good people, so looking forward to bangin' bars with you all this year!
