Is there such a thing as a paint-able tank for the 83 CR480? I like my white bikes. They look "surgical" LOL

I wonder if a 78/9 CR250 tank could be modified & look right? Maybe one from another machine?

Thoughts before I spend $$?

Karl Landrus would build you an aluminum one that could be painted. 22 month wait after paying in full up front. He does amazing work if you are willing to wait.

Other than that I hear people seal the plastic tanks with Caswell tank sealer and then paint them. Do some research before you paint a plastic one though.

I have painted succeffully my YZ490 tank.
Before you need to treat it with Tankerite or any epoxy resin is fine.
This resin will separate the tipical bubbling you may have when you paint a plastic tank without this treatment.
It does work.
Of course before you paint it you'll need to primer it.
Then I used a quite expensive polyuretanic yellow.
