Seen a Craigslist ad for a Yamaha dirt bike for $150.
Here's the picture from the ad
I figured it would be easy to part it out on eBay and make a few bucks until I sent the link to a buddy of mine in Maryland. He told be to be careful that it looks like Tim Ferrys old bike. So I go in touch with noleen and the guy Jake told me that this stuff happens all the time, guys call them up claiming they have Tim Ferrys race bike.
He put me in touch with Clark Jones and I sent him a few pictures. Noleen knows they built this bike but I'm waiting on confirmation on who it belong to. I'm going to be stoked if this is an ex race bike. Fingers crossed!
Here's a few things I found on the bike.
-Every open seam is welded on the frame.
-noleen silencer and pipe
-same frame guards as pictures I found
-ported cylinder with Noleen's N engraved on the left side
-applied upper triple clams
-answer eastern bars
-all the hardware on the engine is Allen head
-same seat cover and graphics
******Warning pictures are of intense neglect

Not on topic so much, but I know people will check out this neat thread. I need a pair of those red side panels to build a yz125 like I had in 1998. If anyone has a pair or knows where to get them, Id appreciate the help.
And I should be getting the red rear fender from Italy soon, but I'm not going to say I have it until I'm actually holding it and know its the right piece.

Regarding red plastics I found a source when looking for a red front fender for my ex Bob Moore/Eric Camerlengo 97 race bike. Maico used red YZ plastics back in 00, here you can find red rear fender at least.
Fully ported with a hot rods crank. Definitely needs to be re-plated. The crank looks brand new. Also found the clutch basket and clutch are new, I think someone rebuilt it right before it sat.
Pit Row
This will be fun!

This one looks like it should fit. I doubt Maicos budget allowed for unique or modified YZ molds. The front fender is an exact copy of the yz.
