Hey All,
Just checking in here @ VitalMX, great site !!
So, I have this 86CR500 that has just a few hours on it, been in a heated basement since 1991 with a new Paddle installed at the time with entensions of hitting the dunes, that idea never materialized. At the time it was serviced and lubed for long term storage. Now 2015, the bike was prepped, oil's changed and premix added. I was prepared to kick the bike for a while to get her fired up, started first kick (with rolling back and forth in gear for 30 seconds, before kicking) what a beast !!
Still has the original front tire/tube on the bike, rear original tire is in great shape as well. Wondering what this bike might be worth in current original condition, it's not for sale. Just curious.

Thank you.

eBay completed listings feature on a search for similar vintage motors should give you an idea on the market rate.

In Colorado near MXMs house? It's worth maybe 3 to 4 hundred dollars. It's worth 7 to 10 times that anywhere else on the country

I raced this same model/year in the RMEC enduro series early 90's, cool to find a fresh one !!

Here is the bike- Like to find a mint 86CR250R to sit next to the 500.

WOW that's super minty.

Colorado seems like the place for low-hour bikes, MXM has posted several of his here. Cool find!

Maxpower that's some funny shit. I agree however we have to many nice bikes around here to bring real money, plus everybody here is kind of ignorant when it comes to "vintage" stuff.

That is a nice CR 500, however when I see a bike with a sand paddle I tend to run away because let's just say most "sand" riders don't take care of there bikes and beat them to crap on the dunes. If you want good money I would remove that tire asap.
