Hi
I'm nearly finished my 96 mc replica (just waiting on a Clarke tank, frame guards and my wheels to get laced up) I have just come across a cheap yz250. I'm thinking about doing a mc bud light replica. Has anyone else done one? Pretty sure had carbon fibre ignition and clutch covers? Is there anything else special he had on that bike that might be hard to get?

Subbed, I would love to see a mc yz build. I personally would like to build his 01 bike. I thought hat one looked the sickest. Post some pics of the clark tank if you wouldnt mind, thinking of ordering one for my 93 build.

I've thought for a long time why someone hasn't built a McGrath Yamaha replica. Let's see it when it gets going!

I bought an 01 yz250 with intentions of creating a mcgrath replica but scrapped the bike because EVERY bolt, bearing, seal, washer, screw, engine part , etc. needed replacing lol. Mcgrath a yz was a beauty, and probably my favorite of any of his race bikes. His 97 Rm250 is second(I have one but can't afford the replica treatment). Good luck with your build! I wish vital had its own sub forum for replicas!

Here are the pics of the Clarke tank. Seems to be pretty good. Although it's a little off white, hopefully ya can't tell when I have graphics on it. But I guess you get what you pay for. It's a lot cheaper than a nos tank

Thanks for posting Bono!! Its a little off but looks a lot better than the old stained tank. Should look fine with graphics on it. Im thinking of getting one for my 93 build ( but will have no graphics ). Did you get a decent deal on yours? Looks like there $229 on ebay..

I paid $330 from the Australian importer. Once you convert it to Australian dollars and pay for freight the price goes up heaps Sad I got the works connection frame guards from the same place. I'm just waiting on my number plate stickers from throttle jockey and I need tyres.

How is your build coming along? Have you posted photos?
