There is not too much to choose from on the linkage rebuild kit for an 88 CR250. Any opinions on who makes the best rebuild kit?

Might try OEM stuff?... just my initial answer. (assuming you have researched aftermarket already)

Look into Pivot Works if you have not already done so.

Pivot works doesn't offer the linkage kit for this model. They do have the swingarm kit. OEM has a number of missing components missing for a rebuild of the linkage. MSR doesn't offer it either. I can find Moose and All Balls but I think they are the same. I have heard bad reviews on the All Balls kits.

I think you're pretty much stuck with OE. '88 was unique, so no cross over from adjacent years.

Honda still has a lot of the bearings and seals and CMS http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-motorcycles_model2/
carries everything else except the spherical bearing seals. Maybe you can restore those.

It won't be cheap. I just bought a PC linkage assembly off of Ebay that I'm restoring with all new OE bearings,
spacers and seals - cost adds up in a hurry.

I may try the local bearing house and see if they can match up the bearings and seals. It should be a bit cheaper than cmsnl and better quality than all balls.
