Is it just me, or does it look like someone lowered the front of the seat and the rear of the tank?

It's an aftermarket all black Clarke tank and I wrestled it around to put that silly cover on to take pics. It's likely shifted down. I need to go over the bike before riding, it's been sitting in a garage since 2009 after being built.

I have an 79 RM250 and your pipe is way fatter than the Jemco that's on my bike. I'll post pics in the next couple of days, I'm breaking it in and solving carb issues.

I like black rims. Some dont. Tbey say black rims didn't come on bikes back in the day. But either did balding men with size 38 waists. And they still put them on vintage bikes and no one is complaining

I finally got my 79 250 up and running. The stock Mikuni sucked so bad I spent a day grinding, cutting and fitting a 36 PJ kehin in there. Now, it idles and is way more ride-able. Still sorting it out. My 02 RM 125 will kill it in a drag race. I don't remember them being that slow. Also, the brakes are scary. The motor is all new, so I know it's still breaking in.

The ohlins are gonna need a rebuild, they are way soft. The 43mm showas fell pretty good. It still turns pretty well for the rear being so soft. That's the Jemco pipe that came on the bike. Still have work to do before I can take it to the track. Next is wider footpegs, these are killers! It's been a fun project. I hope I can try to race it in the fall.
