Vintage Factory posted that they received this from Lynda Franks:

"Just a short message to let you know that Kelvin Franks from Franks racing passed away this week. He worked manufacturing from an Adelaide work shop for local and over seas biker until recently, he was a passionate biker."

RIP Kelvin! That guy made some cool stuff. Buddy of mine owns this beauty. 74 CR125, modded frame, dual monoshock setup all nickle plated, BSA alloy tank, Betor front end, Yamaha MX250 seat, Maico plastics, Carabela head and a Bassani pipe. Raced by Tommy Croft back in '74.

Don't forget he was a founding father of CMC along with Stu Peters also. He was Moto hardcore all the way. RIP

Danny LaPorte rode Kelvin's chrome framed CR125 in 1975(?). Danny might have gotten that ride shortly after his own bike broke on the back straight before the sand wash at Saddleback. Danny pushed his 250(?) from the sand wash to the finish line.

I used to see those Frank's CR125's all the time at the regular Sunday CMC races at Carlsbad.
