I like the 79 Honda CR250 but if parts were easier to find I would rather do a 79 KX 125

An 84 KX125. Its nothing special. I just like the look of that bike.
I also agree with LostBoy about the 79 kx too.
But i would ride them. I find it totally completely ridiculous to build a bike to just look at.

Check my Avatar and you'll notice that I have already played this game, starting way back in 1987. Enjoyed every moment as well as every dollar I invested. Wish I had the internet back in those days, that would have made it a lot easier. But I didn't know what I was missing so...

My choice today may very well not be your's (your age will have a lot of influence on your choice). However since you asked, a 1991 RM 125/250 would be my preference.

Thanks for asking, enjoy your new project and good luck. Keep us all informed when you decide.

I just finished a 83 RM 500 and thought only a 82.5 Husky CR 500 can top it,, so it is coming along Great, Hopefully be ready for Rio Bravo in November

This is what im shooting for with a few changes and building a 81 430 sister at the same time
