I'd love one although at the moment funds are a little low as I've just ordered a shed load of parts so I can hopefully finish the 85. If you still have some in the near future then I may well have one off you thanks.

Ok sounds good. It looks like you have this current project in hand, but if you have any questions or need help just shoot me a message. I do have one question, what did you do about the water pump/ radiator corrosion issue that most Honda's have from this era?

I've been putting off the engine as its not my area of expertise but my engine has case from an 89 and is in great shape apart from a hole to the underside which I shall be sending off for welding/repair. Radiators I was thinking of sending for some new replicas from china until I stumble across a nice NOS pair

Well if you have a 89 inner clutch cover then you are good to go, since they were made of aluminum instead of Mag. Good luck finding a new NOS pair from 85, everybody in the world has used them up and the 89's are better anyway since they won't corrode like the 85's, just paint them all black together and nobody will know they are not 85's. I did this with the 87 CR 125 using a 1997 cover and it's looks like stock from the outside. Photo of cover before painting black.

I tried to send a private message , but don't know if it worked. Yes they are for sale! I have them on e-bay right now under "vintage jt racing". The jersey is size Large and the pants are size 34, they are both brand new never worn NOS; the protectors are used but not much and are very like new.

I've been offered an almost perfect condition cdi off a 500 of the same year. Not being electrically minded does anyone know how inter changeable these units are. They look almost identical and as long as I get a spark and the engine running so that i know it will fire and sound right should i ever get the urge I'm not worried about performance characteristics and power curves as it'll never be ridden. Any help would be great!!!

You need a few more tools in that tool box! Don't use a hammer. I use a length of threaded bar 2 nuts one end and one nut the other end and two big washers. Seat the washer against the bearing and wind the nut up to push the bearing in. Simples!

I took the plunge and ordered a set of the cheap radiators as seen in eBay. They arrived last week rattling around I. Their packaging and subsequently one of the pipes got damaged. They have agreed to send another set out leaving me with the existing set so I thought I'd try on the I damaged side to get a look at them. I have to say I don't like the look of the polished aluminium, when the new set come ill have to have them sprayed. Can anyone confirm that standard are satin black? Have to say they fit spot on so first impressions arnt too bad if you discount the messing about postage wise.
