Thanks Newman I thought you would be the one to reply,I looked on that site before but it said they were currently unavailable, I was really hoping they still made the baby blue color. Do you know of any other universal plastic available ? Wow 75.95 for a plastic front or rear fender.

I don't know what happened over on Ebay since the recession got into full swing but everything there seems to have quadrupled on asking prices. Search Preston Petty and you'll find blue fenders but they want $99.00 for them????? Kooks have lost their minds. I search Elsinore parts and bozos completely strip everything down and list entire bikes piece by piece and ask twenty bucks for rusted bolts with rounded off heads. Crazy....

Just looking for something similar to the preston petty, definitely plastic, and preferably blue. Those fiberglass fenders look nice but are way to fragile.

Let me check my stash of Petty's. Does the Rickman have a 19 inch front wheel or 21? Do you think a Mini Muder would fit? I may have a new blue one. Here is what it would look like against a 17 inch front wheel.

I think you can get most of the Petty stuff from Strictly except for, unfortunately, Tony D's. He told me the mold broke.

I'm sure UFO do a Preston Petty copy in their vintage range.

Saturday at Pala, I met Preston at the Vintage display.
Very nice guy to chat with.
He ended up the day with a helluva sunburn!

What was nice about the Strictly Hodaka stuff was that is was licenses and ahd the original Preston Petty embossed logos. There's at least a couple places that have Tony-D replicas in some colors without that attention to detail.

Yea, from far away a bunch of them look good. But if you want the original detail. You have to go with what Strictly Hodaka has.

VMX has those copy types as well, but the are mimics, not copies; the Strictly Hodaka one's were legitimate remanufactured PP products from the original molds apparently. Sucks that the TD molds broke.

Wow thank you guys for the kind words. A friend had informed me this morning about the posts about Preston Petty fenders. Preston is a very dear friend and before we had applied for the Preston Petty trademark I called Preston and asked his permission. We met through Jim Pomeroy and have stayed friends ever since. Whenever I make a new product I send it to Preston for his approval and his blessing. In fact it his his reputation that I hope to carry on. The photo below is from a few years ago when he asked if the fenders would pass the "Preston test?" I had no idea what the Preston test was but with about 100 camera's flashing he proceeded to show me......

Our Tony D fender tool has worn out and at this time we are in the process of making a brand new steel tool which should allow us to make over 1,000,000 fenders I am told. We have just received new specific color matches for the light yellow, dark yellow, Can Am orange, silver/gray and Bultaco Blue. Of course we make white fenders. With a couple of new investors we hope to expand on this great line and make Preston happy! Again thank you for the kind words we hope to make Preston very proud.
If anyone has any specific questions about product or colors please contact me directly at paul@strictlyhodaka.com.
Very shortly we will be separating the Preston Petty Products line from Strictly Hodaka along with separate websites also.
Sincerely
Paul

OldPro277 Is it the Tony D front fender you need ?? Sounds like a great project. We are retooling right now for the Tony D (MX Front) fenders. Should be available by the end of this year we hope. We have started down the road already...

kiwi that was one greatest thing Preston made! He feels the numberplate tool box and holeshot numberplate were his great creation . Neat stuff.

I have a couple Tony D's from you and look forward to when I can get more Paul! Thanks for making PP happen all over again.
Have you thought about putting the decal on the back bottom inside and the little red Tony D on the front like they came back then?

Oldpro, post some pics of your bike, would love to see it.

Thank you for the support! We would not be able to move the Preston Petty thing forward if it were not guys like you who buy from us. Also having Preston on board makes it something you really want to make happen.

Yes on the decals. I already have reproduced the little script style font "TONY D" decal and hope to start the other soon.
Thank you
Paul

Yeah, we need pics dammit. Laughing I had plans to keep mine forever but someone twisted my arm really hard. Such a cool looking bike in either air cooled or water cooled form.
