Did you snag your brake pedal?
Yeah, it's a steel one off of a KMX 125 trail bike, bent it out 90 degrees and had to kick it back into place, it had already stopped working at that point though and thanks, I'm not really one for having my picture taken with out my helmet on but that one came out ok Laughing

Great job man!!!! If you don't mind me asking how did Thorpe do on a Africa twin? The guys at the Honda shop I work at are very curious, I told them all about this race

Thorpe rode for about 1.5 hours on the Africa twin I believe Steven sword who was also on a Africa twin did better than thorpey but he does have 20 odd years on him

As above Dave Thorpe and Steven Sword both did well but Swordy did go better, the bikes were pretty stock apart from the tyres, works connection clutch levers and a few bits like a cut down front number plate covering the head light, here's Swordy axle deep in a wet sand hole, the riderless bikes around him were stuck and needed a 360 excavator to dig them out after the race, it's pretty tough at Weston....

Thanks man.... Can't believe it was nearly 3 weeks ago already, I guess that means it's only just over 11 months until next year now!!!!!

Sorting through some old programmes the other night and came across regs for 1991 & 2. £35 to enter back then and you had to supply your own Marshall.
Found a race bib too from an earlier year when it was sponsored by Kalamazoo.

That's awesome, can you post a picture of the race bib???
Cost me £180 to enter this year and £40 for the transponder, didn't need to supply a marshal though.
I'm not one of these moaners about the price though, as long as Weston keeps going, I love it.
Just got home from the dirt bike show at Stoneleigh park, the Honda stand had one of the Africa twins and Martin Barr's 450 as they came off the beach and the RHL stand had a big photo of my brother and I crossing the finish, Gareth Hockey let us take the picture down and keep it at the end of the day!!!!!!!

Here you go Sidecar.
I think this was given to me as a marshal (big M printed on the reverse), left over from a previous year may be, might have been about 1989ish.
