Funny stuff in a sad sorta way!

I bailed on going to Don's at the last minute due to the weather. All the reports I got went from bad to worse regarding weather and track conditions. Bless the brave souls who took to the track though! Lots of 125's getting drug away dead I hear.

That's Trampas Parkers son diving in later in the video to help I believe. It was rumored that bike cranked and ran a race on Sunday!

Super Cool. I wanted to go but backed off due to weather as well.

Well, first off it was Diamond Don's so even with bad weather people were enjoying themselves. Another thing is this event is almost turning into a week long get together. A few years ago you wanted to get there early on Friday for good parking, now you have to get there on a Wednesday for good parking.

The racing was a mud fest though and on glance it looked like a 50% DNS for most riders. It's hard to complain about rain, especially with our recent drought in Texas and watching California dry up but we have just been saturated this year. All the lake levels east of Fort Worth now are back to full and many above level. Also, in 13 years of going to Jefferson I've never seen the river so high and much of the bayou area's full. At least the mosquito's were under control!

Yes the bike did get cleaned out and ran 2 motos on Sunday with no issues.
Yes that was Ricky Parker jumping into the water to help get the bike out.

Unfortunate that happened, but it sure brought some good people together to help a downed rider, and a drowned RM 250 that came out super clean. They should put a sign there in his honor. FREE BIKE WASH----ENTER HERE. Thanks for the vid Paw Paw.

Did you notice that the old RM was a "full floater".
Yes it was very clean inside and out after that wash job. The only problem was that the new seat now weighed about 30 lbs.

On the bright side, can you believe how clean that RM was when they got it out?

Yeah, I skipped it, too, for the same reason. Kinda glad I did. They got hit with thunderstorms both nights. Bunch of buds went. It was, er, "memorable" according to them. Luminaries Warren Reid, Steve Wise and Lyle Lovett made it out and had a good time. LL posted some great photos he snapped.

Claude Cutshaw slung a rod on his YZ100 1st moto. Got a special exemption from the commissioner to run his daughter's TTR second moto. He posted some hysterical video of him 'beep-beeping' around the track.

Cool post, enjoying it ! I'll have to try and find the TTR vide.
Was also thinking of playing around with my horn button when I finally
get my Husky out to a track this season Smile
