Tom, I have searched your site but have not found what I was looking for. The time period would be 74 through early 75. CMC Pro 250 races in So. Cal. Subject would be Jon Derhammer on the Pro fab modded 74 YZ250. I have the roller and am interested in seeing images that show side views of it being raced. Thanks.

I still have my sign from 1973. It was painted by a place in La Habra and only cost me $35.00.

astrolounger- Jon Derhammer, a name that is hard to forget. Give me your bike numbers and tracks where you raced at and I will go to work on it. I made a couple of 8x10 shots of Frank Steiner for Pro-Fab back in the day and they made me titanium axles for my 100 bike...still have that too. Steve Bauer called me today and I will be printing some shots for him on his #7h, x9, 42, 45, 129 bikes.

Tom, I spoke with Jon. The # on the YZ would be 2 351 or 28.

Pete Maly in Trans-AMA action at Saddleback. Maly was a reigning #1 plate holder in early AME Motocross days.

astrolounger- I've got Jon Derhammer's numbers written down and will surely email you when I come across something.

I’m pretty sure I had every issue of those in boxes I left in my parents attic when I moved out. They threw them all out when they remodeled the house. It’s good to see some of them again. I even found myself in one of the race reports.

Mini Vues were done by Vick & Bette Kerley out of San Diego and I still have about 10 Mini Vues left in my house...They were good friends with the Smith's (Marty) and frequented Carlsbad and would hit Saddleback for some big events !!

I went to school in Mission Viejo with Morris' little brother Dave Malone, we had no idea who each other were until I heard him spouting off about MX to a friend of his and we became good friends !! MX in the 80's was the bomb !! I went to Monsters of MX last weekend it's so cool seeing all the Old School Moto guys and listening to their stories.

Wow cool shot of Gillman, do you hae any of him railing one of those cement monorail berms?

That cat could ride that ttrack at night with no lights that's how well he knew that track as he lived close by. I've seen him give TOP National riders fits on certain days it was so cool to watch.

btw Tom, I FINALLY got a hold of Tom Cosley after 24 yrs or so!
He told me he took pics at your wedding or something like that.

What's your e-mail, I will send it to him?

Harold chewed me out big time once for cutting laps on the dirt-track oval in my Toyota pick-up!

Hey Tom,

Do you have any ASCOT, Indian Dunes photos, or old film footage? I'm starting a T-Shirt business that will be gatering to "Old School" moto, would be great to locate some pics and film footage to use or purchase, or if you know of anyone?

Thanks,
JIm
