That is pretty amazing. I really loved my '97. Not the fastest bike but a lot of fun. I love that "first person to see it will buy it."

I can't believe what a deal that is. For comparison's sake, in 2003 I bought a '98 in worse condition for a similar price.

I would go pick it. I have to much going as it is. I'm not a big fan of Rm's but this thing is so clean it's almost worth saving.

My 97 was such a great bike on trails. Felt light, had great forks, and looked cool.

I knew a guy that was at the first sx race in '97; he said that McGrath's bike looked like it was going to drop the front wheel into the whoops, apparently due to a lack of power. He said after practice that Mcgrath came in, whispered something to his father, and both of them looked at the bike and shook their heads lol. He said Mcgrath looked like he was shellshocked lol. The 97 was down SEVERAL horsepower compared to the 96 model as well. That two piece powervalve killed the hit I think.
