I'm thinking orange fork guards, blue front fender, pink plate and hand guards, blue rad shrouds, purple engine shrouds, green side panels, white rear fender

Or

I'd love to find a 96 KX and a NOS purple tank for a resto.. don't care what size 125 250 or 500 as long as I could get my grubby little hands on NOS purple plastic (tank, shrouds, side plates).

I can't say what to use. But I can say what not to use.
My KX probably would not have any red ,orange or flo pink plastic mixed with green
I'm looking forward to see what you decide on
Those green translucent plates are crazy looking

The only purple plastic on the 96's is the fork guards, screens and shrouds. The tank itself is still black. Some of that stuff might still be available and I've seen NOS show up on Ebay a few times. I would use the purple bits with a little pink thrown in. But I'm a woman so I could get away with that. Kissing

Remember the TUF bikes back in the late 80s? I remember seeing a few KX's with green and orange plastic mixed together. I saw one that had blue and yellow plastic (a KX).

I don't like putting a bunch of random colors on the bike just because they are available.. it starts looking like a badly thought out quilt. But that's just me... I like the purple & green, or green & pink, or purple & pink.

I'd go with an orange/purple/green. Too bad you cant track down an orange front fender for it.

Something I m working on...This is for my 500. I have a nos purple tank, seat and shrouds for it. Prob wont use the tank, I have an aluminum one to run instead. I'd like to track down a set of the orange fork lowers though...

Are you planning on using those triple clamps? what brand are they? I'm looking for some like that!
