Scott at Vintage Factory is wrapping up the first of two '79 CR250's for me.

This one will be my racer - the other will be a display and will have a Holly repro RC aluminum tank, plus the same RC replica swingarm and Fox Airs as this bike.

This bike has an Eric Gorr ported cylinder, REM'd gears and engine internals, Lots of clear anodized billet parts, the aforementioned Fox Airs and RC swingarm, Denton modified forks with Gold Valves, Denton triple clamps, plus many other Stevie Denton special parts, including chain roller lowering, titanium front axle, kickstart lever, modified CR480 front hub/brake, etc.

Ran into a couple complications today - rear brake rod isn't long enough with the new swingarm, and the front wheel isn't centered right. Hopefully those will get sorted out quickly.

Here's a few pics of progress so far.

Scott? As in Scott Steger? I thought he fell off the face of the earth?

Vintage factory isn't his thing anymore is it? I've been looking around for him to talk about getting done stuff.

Really nice!!! I wanted to get one of those swing arms but seems I waited too long since KLP had their misfortune.

Looks like the Holly silencer and pipe you installed as well?!

Hoping Karl is up and running again soon. Yes Holly silencer. I can't remember if this is the Holly or DG pipe. I have both to try.

Don't let your pal that has your FC350 anywhere near either one.

Cap he actually has 4 of my fully mint restored bikes at his place. This bike will be there too. He's doing me a huge favor. Hard to believe someone with over 40 years experience could do something like that, but I know it was unintentional

Well maybe not 100% done - I still need to add on fork boots , some oversized pegs, and a trick rear brake arm ( I have a really nice one from KLP, but with the PDE roller lowering bracket, it makes my KLP arm too long. A big thanks to Stevie for getting a new custom rear brake rod out so Scott could finish up my bike!!

I actually have 3 pairs of Fox Factory Forks myself. I think these highly modified forks will actually work better.

Here's a pic of my '80 250 with the Fox setup

Cvm- those are the "O'Brien" style numbers like Marty Smith used to run. The C was custom made by doing top/bottom mirror image of the 9.

Graphics guys can actually make them too. Here's a pic of my new '17 Husky 350 with vintage style graphics and numbers
