Looking bad ass!!!! I've never herd of the Napa aluminum brightner. What do you need to be cautious about? Does it clean well or just polish?

Your 125 looks amazing. I had one and sold it after it hurt me. If I wad hard on a bike and it betrays me it goes down the road. Thinking back I should have kept it now I see how great yours looks.
My throttle hung up for no reason I could find. I went over that bike a million times and couldn't find the reason.
I really like the black rims on the blue bike

MaxPower. I always lock wire my throttle cable at the carb top, as the cable outer can pull out and cause the throttle to hang.
Motion Pro do a cable that screws into the carb top, so won't pull out.
The thing is, once it's done it, it can drop back in, and you never find the problem.

1) Don't let it touch your skin
2) Don't let it sit on the aluminum too long, it starts to turn a weird white color and needs to be polished out. I only know because I left it on the shifter for too long and had to scotchbrite it off.

I'd say it's mostly a cleaner.

Don't see any fork guides, how are you preventing the tubes from scratching? Great looking bike!

They're the lightspeed restyled ones so you can't run the actual OEM ones for those years. I have seen people buy ones off the newer KYBs that sit in the groove to prevent rubbing (the ones that don't have a hook/guide for the fork guard). Just haven't got around to buying them yet. Not sure if I will honestly...

I ran without them for 2 weekends and was wearing away the aluminum. The OEM ones people talk about are very expensive for what they are. I modified the stock ones with an angle grinder in a frenzied state as I was trying to make it to the track.

Yikes, I'd have to buck up and get the expensive ones. Smile

Honestly though, I may get a slight rub on the left. But Grade #0000 Steel wool buffs it out with a few swipes... Did you try aligning yours better?

I tried using washers to space out the guard but to no avail. I thought I would get some light scratching but it was so bad after the 2nd ride there were burrs forming, metal was worn away so badly you could feel that the piece was no longer round. The Yam guides were like $28 a piece from RockyMountain. Glad you've got better luck than I do!
