Picked this bike up today after laying my eyes on it over a year ago from a friend. The bike is to be known as one of Scott Sheak's but there are no definites as to who's it was. This bike has lots of different things different than my 02. Lots of tabs, gussets welded in, a few different stamps. I found a few pieces of Ti left on it banjo bolts. Here are a few pics it will be a while before I get to this but I figured I would share it with yall and some of the parts I have for it. Some friends helped me source parts and traded parts to beable to make this put together as it is. I'm not sure which route I will go on the build. The powder coating is very poor. My graphics and stuff are fair so I probably will get a nice set of used wheels and re powder coat the frame along with wore brushing everything else. I am looking for a KYB two piece shock body.

I remember this bike. A guy in DFW owned it, and posted it on Vital a few years ago. I almost bought it from him at one point. Glad it went to someone who will fully appreciate it.

Yup that's the bike. I can't wait to get into it. I have to finish the 02 simple green and the Plano bike before I start in this one.

Wow. That´s awesome.

I would love to see some close up pics from Carbon Case Guard. Is it a Repro?

Not sure about the carbon case guard. I think it's an original dsp. It has some wear to it.

Small update. I took the old original seat cover off that I almost threw in the trash. Under the seat cover written on the foam is To Bundy. Did some digging and reached out to a buddy that has helped me a lot. He spoke of Bundy being John Mitchell which was Nathan Ramsey's mechanic. If anyone is lurking and has more info on the bike please email me robertmartin517@yahoo.com. Thanks

DJFMX is also looking for a two piece shock. You'll have to fight it out in thunderdome to see which one will get it of one becomes available. Smile

Oh, cool find.

It will take quite some time before its done. Just takes so much time and energy chasing down parts, but rewarding when found. Then get a set of Khi hubs then you gotta get the brake caliper carrier then an axle make wheel spacers, send the frame off, clean and sand blast everything. I have started getting titanium bolts. The hardest thing about the bolts is they all come from other countries as every bolt is not available in the USA with out paying a small fortune. I have still found that graphics are the hardest to track down. I see people building bikes around graphics. I now understand why lol. At chuck I think I have decided to just leave the decals off. I like the look of just bare kashima.

I have some NOS PC ones. We will see when I get it all together. Just hate putting stickers on kashima cause when you pull it off it sometimes peels little specs of the kashima with it.

Spoke with Bundy about the seat and the bike. He knew a lot about the bike and frame. He gave me some pointers as to what would indicate this bike being Ramsey's. He is convinced it was one of Ramsey's race bikes. He went into detail about his parts always stayed on his bikes. Still would like to have 100% certainty of who's
Is was. I reached out to pro circuit sometimes they can verify.

Just out of interest, where are those discs from? Ex factory kawi discs, correct? Can mere mortals get their hands on some?

Yeah they are newer factory kawi discs. There are some on eBay. They will only work on 03 and up stock hubs though. 99 and below have 6 bolts and a 220mm disc.

So cool. Even more so considering he won the 125 West SX championship that year.

Went a head and put the graphics on which have been stored since 1999. They were shrinking a bit. With lots of soapy water, heat, and patience they turned out very nice. I started to not stick them on. Hopefully they will hold better form on the plastic.

Looking good, the area on the shrouds with the TLD logo can be troublesome.

Yeah I had to keep heating them and stretching. I advise anyone who has some old graphics laying around I would get them stuck in plastic atleast the shrouds. This is the 3rd set I've done that were in the 10-15 yr range and they are getting harder to keep shape.
