Does anyone have any 95 CR250R parts not sure if I will do a MC recplica or just restore it? cant find many photos of MC's 95 bike i wanted to do a 96 but they are like hens teeth and the ones you do find they want insane money for.
Thanks
Ironically, TAG does a pretty close copy of the Renthal replicas -- and they are commonly available, if you're willing to strip the anodizing. Judge for yourself:

Few ideas to help those out keeping these bikes going:
1) rear brake master cylinder can be upgraded to the late model crf 250/450R models. Bolts on and then you can remove the remote reservior
For the brake return spring, you can try one off those 04-08 crf250/450 models. I instead modified a Fasst Co brake return spring kit (drill and tap to the larger size on the OEM master cylinder) and added a brake snake:
2) For the right side engine guard, a modified Works Connection 98-99 YZ400 one should be easy to modify:
3) swap to the newer TC forks is easy. Just pressed out the stem into the clamps and bolts up. Have to modify the steering stops, but easy swap. That allows for newer larger brake rotors like the Motostuff unit.
Here is a pic of my 125 been fixing up presently:
96 cr125, 99 TC fork swap, motostuff Blade brake system, modified Cylinder and custom piston, Rekluse EXP 3.0 big mods. Need a new seat cover next and maybe Warp 9 wheel set.
Picked this up today. I was about to buy a new KX250F or Husky 125, but started thinking "I just play ride and have fun. I could get a used CRF230 off Craigslist and do that. I don't need an $8000 bike". Then I saw this advertised on the internet. After seeing YouTube videos and this thread of people doing rebuilds and replicas, I decided to give it a shot instead of buying something new. I drove 7 hours each way to pick it up (I did not have any other plan anyways today LOL). Plan is to rebuild it top to bottom and make it look like a stock '96 bike. I always thought they looked really cool. It runs (started on first kick at the shop), the gears work and all the major parts are there. It needs major TLC though (new plastic, powdercoat, bolts, etc pretty much like any 20 year old bike would). That's about all I know. It could be a headache that gets scrapped or it might be the coolest bike with the slowest rider at the track. Not sure yet. I'm sure I will find big gremlins when I break it down.
Shop wanted $1900 for it, I left with it for $1200. I think that's fair. Its a rare/unique bike and the price was cheap enough that if it's a dud, I'm not out too much money. The motor alone sitting on a shelf I would think is worth $500-$750?
I hope it works out. I passed buying a new bike for it. Right now it's beat, and a sad sack. Funny thing it was a trade-in. Looks like someone dug through the scrap bin for plastic that would fit and slapped it on with any bolt they could find rolling around on the floor.
Just got engine back from Steve at SCT who sorted all vapour blasting, replating and rebuilt it!
Picked this up for $1700 last week. All plastic has the original honda stampings so either it is stock or oem before it sold out. Suspension and top end just done with receipts. Pro Circuit pipe and silencer. Frame original paint and in great shape. Wonder if anyone ever actually rode this thing? All I did was tires, chain, pegs and graphics for an additional $300. Cool bike for $2,000.
