Ordered a new front fender for a 2014 KXF250 and graphics for a 05/07(not sure whats going to show up)

Debating on getting the pipe done in mate black or black chrome...not sure. Regular chrome just isnt working for me.

Got the fender in and....a sheet set. Somehow my order was messed up and instead of graphics they shipped me fleece sheets. On Monday or Tuesday the graphics should be here.

In case anyone ever finds this thread, this is a direct comparison of PolySport front fenders. On left is 2014 KXF 250, on right is 1998 KX 250. The green is much better on the 2014. Time to order side plates, shrouds, and a rear fender now.

Graphics and wheel spacers finally showed up. That should be all the mechanical things that needed to be replaced. Need to get some newer shrouds now. [

The colour is different between the fenders because Kawasaki changed to a different shade of green in 2005, which is still the current green being used. It is not necessarily better, just different. The front fender you show fitted on the bike is the OEM green at that time.

Because of that color change I guess Ill have to go through with a different air box, modifying the subframe, new side plates, and rear fender Smile

Got the triple clamp painted and cleared several times.

Sorry to be a pinhead.....but this bar clamp is on backwards. The gaps should be to the rear and you should just snug the front bolts first. I don't see where this was addressed in later posts, sorry if it's been corrected already. Better safe than sorry.

Don't go changing plastic to make the bike something it isn't. Unless its done right they almost always end up looking like an old bike that someone screwed new plastic to. And at very best you get a old model that looks like a new model. So big deal. Those were cool looking bikes. They ran great. go with the flo green frame and plastic like Emigs works bikes.

Thank you for the post. I matched up the shape of the metal, looks like I still have it incorrect. I'll fix it tomorrow Smile

Different strokes for different folks. I didn't grow up liking the 95 style, but I do like the 05 style. It make take me a few try's but I'll get it right and it will not be a hack. I've got a pretty good set of mechanical skills thanks to my lt1/ls1 Camaro projects so I think I can handle it. My goal is to have an 05 clone for under 1500. That leaves me about 2k to get the wife a green machine.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Finally got my fender on. Fits great and looks awesome. I love it.

Got graphics put on new shrouds. They are 2005 style .

Here is what I have now:

These do not fit without some kind of modification. Really oped they would fit better but thats ok.

Need to figure out what we are going to do, fabricate a bracket that attaches the lower part or use the lower part and have the upper part get the brackets. This would put the shroud closer to the seat.

I Love it! Looks much more modern. Just need to bring it all together and finish the project now.

I also got some new Oneal Element gear. Wow has it improved since back in the day!

Figured I would finish the thread while waiting for A1.

Made the brackets for the 05 shrouds. Pretty simple and they look to work great. Got everything bolted up. Its 99% ready to ride. Going to start looking for a 125 buddy bike now

The handlebar clamps are reverseable. They are offset for adjustment.

The bike looks awesome. I'm currently rebuilding a 1996 kx 125 that is in pretty good condition. Only thing is that I'm running low on funds... Do you know roughly how much you had spent on the rebuild?

Ive got about 1300 into it total. Still need a chain and white rear fender before I consider it "done"

Ebay and motorsport are your friends.
