Hi guys, new user here. I recently purchased a 1992 cr250 and am just looking for the original decals and original pink looking plastic for it and have no idea where to begin. I've found some plastics but they are the multi year applications and I know there was a slight difference between 92 and the others. Is it a big enough difference to really notice? As far as the decals, I have found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the 92 was more of a hot pink than the others..........can you still get oem plastic from Honda?

Hi crcoop! Nice find, and welcome!! Im restoring a 93 so were kind of in the same boat. Evo Mx has all the graphics including the swingarm decals for your bike. I ordered a set from them for my 93 and they look awesome!! Better quality than oem also. Good luck and be sure to show us pics of your progress!!! Love the 90's bikes!!

Thanks guys, I'll check it out. Yeah I just remember when this bike came out and I've wanted one since. I love that whole era of bikes.

I used to race a '92. Amazing motorcycle. I had Factory Connection valve the suspension for me back in '97 or so and they themselves said we have some really good numbers for that bike. I know mine felt like what ever a works bike must feel like after the revalve. I don't have an answer for your question or any old parts. Just wanted to throw in that you have a great, great motorcycle.

Looks like a fun project. I raced a 92 back in 92 and here's some info that might be helpful.

The 92 was a big re-design year for Honda. The bike has a great engine, but has a design problem that caused the clutch
to fry prematurely. Honda issued a TSB with a fix that involved drilling a couple of extra holes in the Left side center case
to allow more oil to flow to the clutch. It's a simple fix and if you're interested, PM me and I'll send you some pictures showing
where to drill the holes. The problem was fixed by 93. Another problem area was a tendency to crack the swingarm where
the cast section and the extruded section were welded together. The fix for this was a larger diameter lower chain roller
from an '89 CR250 and to run more chain slack. As for the plastic, yes the 92 had a slightly different shade of Flourescent
Red than the later years, but it was also thinner (to save weight). Unfortunately, it was too thin and didn't hold up. Honda
increased the thickness for 93. If you want the best color match, stay away from OE Honda plastic. They have changed
the color formula over the years and anything still available is no where near the original color. Your best bet is UFO, and
order directly from UFO to be sure you get the correct color. Schwanz22 hooked you up with the best graphics info.

Good luck.

I ordered the swing arm decals and they look great! Ordered some wheel bearings, today. I still haven't ordered any plastic because I'm kinda nervous about the color match. I guess it wouldn't be bad if I just ordered new everything and got it over with. Lol. My back fender is cracked and about to come off!

Honestly I don't think you will find the 92 color plastic... they only had that bright pink for that year, and changed it in 93. Ufo seems to have the best color match to 93. I ordered a whole set and it matches perfect to my oem front fender... I think you may have to go that route and just hang on to your oem stuff.. it might fade eventually and be closer to the 92 color.. look forward to seeing what you do with the bike. I should finish mine this week or next.. I have everything, just need the time now.. good luck.

Why dont you restore the oem plastic going down the wet and dry grades yourself, takes a while to do properly, but just an idea

Sanding them? What grade would I start with? Either way, the rear fender is about to break in half so that is one of my main reasons.

I bought front and rear fenders from cheap cycle parts they are pink . I was concerned they would be different but they match perfectly I have original pink front fender I restored by sanding it took hours but it was worth it . nuclear red is what they call it

The camera is crappy it shows up red but it's ( pink) really fluorescent too , I let it sit in the sun for a few hours and it just got more pink like I wanted
