Totally agreed Barkhard.

Every time I see this thread bounced I'm like a dog with two dicks.

Come on Chuck, crack on! I want to see the finished article.

(Then I won't be able to wait till Farleigh VMXDN)

At the risk of a tiny thread hijack (Sorry Chuck), what's the spec?

I'll try to get some photos up in a new thread soon. I can't hijack this thread any more. Chuck, I'm so stoked on your build!

…but since you asked, the bike rips!.. and I had a smile on my face the entire day.

Here's a couple of shots to keep you going! My buddy's taken a few decent shots with his proper camera, but in the meantime; some iphone pics. Seriously does this thing no justice, can't stop looking at it!

Huge thanks to everyone who helped along the way!

Looks OK I s'pose.

Did you get blue rear plastics for it in the end?

wow Chuck! Hats-off to you bud, this is really something special! I know what kind of work is required to get a build looking this crisp, and I also know that your build is way better than mine - its simply perfect.
Good job!

Absolute rubbish. Bin it I say!

In the spirit of hands across the water and in support of our English cousins, I'll take this heap off your hands Chuck. Just this one time .. Unless you have other projects?

(Above said 100% tongue in cheek. INCREDIBLE build!)

Amazing!

Can you enlighten me on the part you used, to protect the fork tube, from the fork guard rubbing on it. I see it says "Pro Circuit"

I am missing this piece to the puzzle and my fork guards have started to wear down the fork tube

Thanks for the kind words guys...means a lot! I have a few more pics i'll upload now, but would like to properly photoshoot it at some point in the future to give it the pics it deserves...

SLOWTIME, the fork wrap parts are simply decals, Pro circuit sold them in 92 to stop the forks wearing, found them in the catalogue so just measured them up and had them made exactly the same! Email me at chuck_davies@hotmail.com and i'll give you the info for them...

Chuck, you've really set a standard for other replica builds with your attention to detail and passion to build the bike right.

I'm also very much in your debt for having steered me to the Renthal team-type sprocket for my '93. Thank you for the work that inspires and also the comradeship as you've gone forward building this project into something quite special.

Now you've got me (and I'm sure many others) hankering to see your next project -- a PC Kawie I believe! (Hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag). Good stuff CD -- no, GREAT stuff.

James, the kind words really make it worthwhile, and seeing people appreciate all the effort involved is a nice feeling, so thank you!

Haha no probs, yep next project is a 94 PC KX125 bike. Ive been parts collecting for months already and have quite a few awesome parts to get it going. Hardest part is i have a dead line with this build though, as ill be racing it at Farleigh Castle Vets MXDN in the Super Evo class (against 500s....) in September!

Picked up a lovely original 94 kx125 bike last week that ill use as a base. Keen to get going on it in a month or so, and you know ill get a build thread going!

Bit of an update I thought i'd never see! Brand new NOS 92 Pro Circuit exhaust! Different shape, welds, badge etc to the new works one i had made so i'm over the moon! Snapped it up within minutes of it being advertised as never seen a used one for sale let alone a new period correct one!

AMAZING! Such attention to detail. And $$$$ Smile

I am building a 1995 CR125 but it will be a completely modernized ripper with WP CV forks and A shock, modern brakes, front end, clamps, steering dampener, light weight everything.

And I wanna actually race it! So I cannot go into the detail you did because it will only get dirty again haha.

Awesome awesome awesome bike!
