We just have so many nice bikes up here and nobody wanting them. I need to get a storage unit and start buying them up.

Yea, I'm in Fairfield county. Just a Little east of Lancaster.
Nothing a block of wood and a hammer couldn't fix. It's pretty easy to fix sub frames on these older bikes

It appears to have a newer style fender, and I may be wrong, but it looks like some seat foam may have been removed from the center of the seat, so in that respect, you're block of wood idea might work, only instead of using it with the hammer, we could use it under the seat cover. Tongue

I just picked up a 1985 engine for peanuts. Supposedly it runs good but has a broken case at the front where the mounting bolt passes through. I understand its the same engine design going back to 82'? Ill keep it for spares when/if I find an 82/83 model.
Weird looking cylinder with no power valves Wink

The '82-'85 RM250 engine is basically the same. The '85 had a long-rod configuration that was supposedly easier to modify.

Anyone ever run across an '85 RM 250. I'd be interested in doing a restore on one. Won D-11 250B class in '85 on one and my feelings for those bikes run deep. A little clean up on the ports, a Pro-Circuit pipe, and maybe an upgrade on the forks would be in mind. The rear is fine. Those were the last of the true Full Floater's and they didn't need anything but a little stiffer spring.
You remember Allen Janes?

Actually I do. He was a damn friendly guy. If I'm not mistaken, he also used to jump cars and stuff.
